    Week 157 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 4th June 2023.

    Club Stats. 2910 members collectively rode 138929 km in 3789 rides, climbing 763853 metres in 6473 hours!

    The number of members are up by 12 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 600 and 47 rode at least a 200.

    69 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 18 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    6 riders averaged more than 100 km a day! The top 3 remained unchanged, though the order got shaken up.

    Gopaal Agaarwal from Uttar Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 965 km. He was first last two weeks as well.

    In second place is Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh who rode 925 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by MSK Sreenivasan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 804 km. He was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 219+ km…

    There are 11 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 442 km. She is 25th overall. She was first last two weeks as well.

    Next up is Naureen Shabnam from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 432 km. She is 28th overall.

    Third is Gareema Shankar from Delhi who rode 363 km. She is 49th overall. She was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    World Bicycle Day was celebrated with looooong rides!

    Top spot goes to DB from Gujarat for the longest ride. He did a 611 km long ride!

    Next up is Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra having done a 459 km long ride.

    Third is Deerendra CR from Karnataka, who did a 404 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 69 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 35.2 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 35 kmph.

    Third is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu averaging 34.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Mizoram!

    Climber of the week is RJ Mesak from Mizoram having climbed 8798 metres.

    Second is Puia from Mizoram who climbed 7359 metres.

    Third is Saurabh Negi from Uttarakhand, who climbed 6565 metres during the week.
