    Week 161 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 2nd July 2023.

    Club Stats. 2945 members collectively rode 116013 km in 3032 rides, climbing 644012 metres in 5461 hours!

    The number of members are up by 2 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    16 rode 400s and 42 rode at least a 200.

    52 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 24 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    MSK Sreenivasan from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 980 km. He was third last week.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 869 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Gopaal Agaarwal from Uttar Pradesh. He rode 795 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 165+ km…

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 566 km. She is 16th overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Rekha S from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 427 km. She is 37th overall.

    Third is Lavanya Rajan from Tamil Nadu who rode 253 km.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A slew of 400 rides coming in from Karnataka this week.

    Top spot goes to Heyram Kruthik from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 419 km long ride!

    Next up is Raghavendra Bysani from Karnataka having done a 411 km long ride.

    Third is Arun Sivanesan from Karnataka, who did a 405 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 52 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Anirudh Chadha from Delhi who averaged an incredible 35.2 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 35 kmph.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka averaging 34.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Neel Shivakumar from Karnataka having climbed 7323 metres.

    Second is RJ Mesak from Mizoram who climbed 6757 metres. He was third last week.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 6096 metres during the week.
