    Week 163 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 16th July 2023.

    Club Stats. 2978 members collectively rode 72710 km in 2392 rides, climbing 360989 metres in 3368 hours!

    The number of members are up by 24 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    9 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 1000 and 29 rode at least a 200.

    67 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 28 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Vidyasagar G from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1032 km.

    In second place is Anand from Karnataka who rode 860 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Samad Hanbal from Karnataka. He rode 815 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 218+ km…

    There are 9 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 666 km. She is 15th overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Miruthula Gopu from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 463 km. She is 38th overall.

    Third is Swati Sablok from Punjab who rode 403 km. She is 48th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A solitary 1000 coming in from Tamil Nadu this week.

    Top spot goes to Vidyasagar G from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 1012 km long ride!

    Next up is Heyram Kruthik from Karnataka having done a 637 km long ride.

    Third is Raghavendra Bysani from Karnataka, who did a 627 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 67 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 39.7 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Adhi from Kerala whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.9 kmph.

    Third is Synclair Dsouza from Maharashtra averaging 36.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Anand from Karnataka having climbed 7651 metres.

    Second is Arun Sivanesan from Karnataka who climbed 7329 metres.

    Third is Samad Hanbal from Karnataka, who climbed 7242 metres during the week.
