    Week 169 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 27th August 2023.

    Club Stats. 3059 members collectively rode 106827 km in 3018 rides, climbing 582169 metres in 5069 hours!

    The number of members are up by 7 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode 500s and 21 rode at least a 200.

    59 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 12 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    DB from Gujarat was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1100 km.

    In second place is Santosh Bijur from Maharashtra who rode 996 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 791 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 225+ km…

    There are 19 women in the top 100 this week, 10 more than last week.

    Shirin Kekre from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 517 km. She is 14th overall.

    Next up is Malika Kalra from Chandigarh. Who rode an impressive 424 km. She is 23rd overall.

    Third is Niharika Reddy from Maharashtra who rode 407 km. She is 25th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    1 massive 500 from Ladakh.

    Top spot goes to Raj Sharma from Gujarat for the longest ride. He did a 588 km long ride!

    Next up is Vibhav Shinde from Maharashtra having done a 443 km long ride.

    Third is Shirin Kekre from Maharashtra, who did a 335 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 59 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 39.1 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.8 kmph. He was third last week.

    Third is Jonas Spinoy from Goa averaging 35.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Ladakh.

    Climber of the week is Raj Sharma from Gujarat having climbed 11756 metres.

    Second is DB from Gujarat who climbed 10811 metres.

    Third is Santosh Bijur from Maharashtra, who climbed 10112 metres during the week.
