    Week 186 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 24th December 2023.

    Club Stats. 3180 members collectively rode 115479 km in 2979 rides, climbing 642470 metres in 5452 hours!

    The number of members are up by 9 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    13 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 1000 and 45 rode at least a 200.

    63 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    28 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    13 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1847 km.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 1419 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by The Fit Biker from West Bengal. He rode 1235 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 197+ km…

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 4 less than last week.

    Hema Dhakad from Madhya Pradesh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 355 km. She is 61st overall.

    Next up is Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 287 km. She is 98th overall.

    Third is Lavangi Sudhakar from Tamil Nadu who rode 244 km.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    1000s from West Bengal!

    Top spot goes to The Fit Biker from West Bengal for the longest ride. He did a 1024 km long ride!

    Next up is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal having done a 826 km long ride.

    Third is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu, who did a 818 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 63 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Tijan Wilson from Uttar Pradesh who averaged an incredible 37.9 kmph over the week! He was second last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 36 kmph.

    Third is Ansh Dhopte from Maharashtra averaging 35.8 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Tamil Nadu!

    Climber of the week is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu having climbed 21018 metres. He did a double everesting.

    Second is Eshwar Devaramane from Karnataka who climbed 9050 metres.

    Third is Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 8531 metres during the week.
