    Week 188 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 7th January 2024.

    Club Stats. 3191 members collectively rode 132079 km in 3355 rides, climbing 755062 metres in 6111 hours!

    The number of members are up by 4 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    9 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 600 and 56 rode at least a 200.

    55 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    22 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    6 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 846 km.

    In second place is Gajendra Dutta Mishra from Uttar Pradesh who rode 762 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 756 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 294+ km…

    There are 17 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

    Rekha S from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 661 km. She is 11th overall.

    Next up is Avni Chopra from Madhya Pradesh. Who rode an impressive 443 km. She is 36th overall.

    Third is Katyayani Bhargav from Madhya Pradesh who rode 441 km. She is 37th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A few long rides this week from Kerala!

    Top spot goes to Shaharudeen J from Kerala for the longest ride. He did a 604 km long ride!

    Next up is Sreekanth A from Kerala having done a 520 km long ride.

    Third is Suriya Prakash from Tamil Nadu, who did a 454 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 55 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Tushar Anand from Delhi who averaged an incredible 35 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Apruv Anand from Delhi whose weekly average is a fantastic 34.6 kmph.

    Third is Hemanshu Khanna from Haryana averaging 33.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Tamil Nadu!

    Climber of the week is Vibra Shal from Tamil Nadu having climbed 8178 metres.

    Second is Murali Ramakrishnan from Telangana who climbed 7882 metres.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 7586 metres during the week. He was third last week as well.
