    Week 190 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 21st January 2024.

    Club Stats. 3208 members collectively rode 122605 km in 3124 rides, climbing 570364 metres in 5683 hours!

    The number of members are up by 7 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    3 rode 600s and 34 rode at least a 200.

    65 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    10 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Ashish Borkar from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 934 km.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 909 km in the week. He was first last week.

    Third spot is taken by Senthil from Tamil Nadu. He rode 905 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 212+ km…

    There are 14 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Rekha Solanki from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 784 km. She is 6th overall.

    Next up is Alo Chatterjee from West Bengal. Who rode an impressive 682 km. She is 11th overall.

    Third is Megha Jain from Punjab who rode 617 km. She is 17th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A few long rides this week from around the country!

    Top spot goes to Monu Yadav from Telangana for the longest ride. He did a 623 km long ride!

    Next up is Anirban Das from West Bengal having done a 618 km long ride.

    Third is Hardik Rai from Karnataka, who did a 600 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 65 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Andrew Raistrick from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 36.8 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.9 kmph.

    Third is Shreyas Sridhar from Singapore averaging 35.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Yash Mhaskar from Maharashtra having climbed 5625 metres.

    Second is Aby Kurian from Kerala who climbed 5496 metres.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 4957 metres during the week.
