    Week 199 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 24th March 2024.

    Club Stats. 3280 members collectively rode 108404 km in 3231 rides, climbing 588861 metres in 4998 hours!

    The number of members are up by 12 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    2 rode 1000s and 18 rode at least a 200.

    60 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    7 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1081 km.

    In second place is Gopinath Kattaian from Tamil Nadu who rode 1039 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 856 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 169+ km…

    There are 15 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Neha Tikam from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 348 km. She is 34th overall.

    Next up is Damanpreet Kaur Romana from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 272 km. She is 75th overall.

    Third is Shirley D’souza from Karnataka who rode 254 km. She is 96th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A few long rides this week from around the country!

    Top spot goes to Gopinath Kattaian from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 1002 km long ride!

    Next up is Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu having done a 1002 km long ride.

    Third is Saransh Sidhu from Haryana, who did a 402 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 60 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Tenzin Kunchok from Uttar Pradesh who averaged an incredible 39.7 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Gokul Kumar from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.5 kmph. He was third last week.

    Third is Michael Joseph from Tamil Nadu averaging 36.6 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Virtual World!

    Climber of the week is Arnab Patra from West Bengal having climbed 7645 metres.

    Second is Devesh Joshi from Uttarakhand who climbed 5591 metres. He was third last week.

    Third is Kamlesh Rana from Indian Army, who climbed 5155 metres during the week.
