    Week 217 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 28th July 2024.

    Club Stats. 3418 members collectively rode 100668 km in 2695 rides, climbing 528822 metres in 4827 hours!

    The number of members are up by 6 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    8 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 1000. 13 rode at least a 200.

    59 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    5 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 rider averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Pradish Sandanaraj from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1083 km.

    In second place is Deepak Sooraj from Tamil Nadu who rode 1063 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by MSK Sreenivasan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 932 km. He was first last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 153+ km…

    There are 13 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.

    Gungeet Kaur from Punjab was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 480 km. She is 19th overall. She was third last week.

    Next up is Megha Jain from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 401 km. She is 32nd overall.

    Third is Rekha S from Telangana who rode 333 km.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from around India!

    Top spot goes to Deepak Sooraj from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 1063 km long ride!

    Next up is Purnananda Behera from Telangana having done a 611 km long ride.

    Third is Ron, who did a 452 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 59 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Unmesh Ahluwalia from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 35.5 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is James from Kerala whose weekly average is a fantastic 34.9 kmph.

    Third is SM from Haryana averaging 34.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Nilgiris!

    Climber of the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu having climbed 8451 metres.

    Second is Sujith Sudhan from Kerala who climbed 6105 metres.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 5906 metres during the week.
