    Week 218 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 6th August 2024.

    Club Stats. 3428 members collectively rode 98093 km in 2744 rides, climbing 543105 metres in 4648 hours!

    The number of members are up by 10 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    8 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

    2 rode 400s. 31 rode at least a 200.

    60 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    19 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 rider averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Prasad  Wadepally from Telangana was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 810 km.

    In second place is KSK Senthil from Tamil Nadu who rode 780 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Gurpreet Singh Kamow from Punjab. He rode 765 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 241+ km…

    There are 17 women in the top 100 this week, 4 more than last week.

    Gungeet Kaur from Punjab was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 582 km. She is 9th overall. She was first last week.

    Next up is Rekha S from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 539 km. She is 18th overall. She was third last week

    Third is Lorraine D’costa from Kerala who rode 481 km.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from around India!

    Top spot goes to Vijay  Krishna Shenoy from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 400.2 km long ride!

    Next up is Meghana Ghatge from Karnataka having done a 400 km long ride.

    Third is Tajinder Singh Arora, who did a 306 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 60 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Unmesh Ahluwalia from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 35.2 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Mukesh Ayyappan from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 34.1 kmph.

    Third is Vivek Chadha from Delhi averaging 33.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the virtual world!

    Climber of the week is James from Kerala having climbed 15290 metres.

    Second is Sharu Hakkim from Kerala who climbed 11248 metres.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 10112 metres during the week.
