Week 272 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 17th August 2025.
Club Stats. 3712 members collectively rode 111835 km in 2770 rides, climbing 640421 metres in 5283 hours!
The number of members are up by 12 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

70 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.
22 climbed more than 4000 metres.

Manoj Chahal from Haryana was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1026 km.
In second place is Umashankar from Tamil Nadu who rode 864 km in the week. He was first last week.
Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 756 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 201+ km…
There are 16 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.
Rekha S from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 449 km. She is 21st overall.
Next up is Malika Kalra from Chandigarh. Who rode an impressive 399 km. She is 36th overall.
Third is Sachida Yadav from Maharashtra who rode 364 km. She is 53rd overall.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
Rides this week coming in from around India!
Top spot goes to Manoj Chahal from Haryana for the longest ride. He did a 1007 km long ride!
Next up is Saurabh Sharma from Delhi having done a 720 km long ride.
Third is Murugan Kathirvel from Tamil Nadu, who did a 556 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 70 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Tenzin Kunchok from Uttar Pradesh who averaged an incredible 37.3 kmph over the week! He was first last week as well.
Second fastest for the week is Tushar Bakaya whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.8 kmph.
Third is Sanjay Chaudhary from Uttar Pradesh averaging 36.5 kmph over the week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!
Climber of the week is Avinash Sreedhar from Kerala having climbed 6618 metres.
Second is Udhay Asokan from Tamil Nadu who climbed 6557 metres.
Third is Goutham from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 6078 metres during the week.
