      Week 221 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 25th August 2024.

      Club Stats. 3442 members collectively rode 103444 km in 2714 rides, climbing 565838 metres in 4778 hours!

      The number of members are up by 5 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

      10 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

      5 rode 600s. 31 rode at least a 200.

      72 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

      10 climbed more than 4000 metres.

      Incredible riding by everyone.

      Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

      Leaderboard: Overall

      10 rider averaged more than 100 km a day!

      Zaakk from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 906 km. He was first last week.

      In second place is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra who rode 901 km in the week.

      Third spot is taken by Prathap Pandian from Tamil Nadu. He rode 801 km.

      Leaderboard: Women

      The women’s leaderboard has got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 156+ km…

      There are 10 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

      Malika Kalra from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 324 km. She is 54th overall.

      Next up is Kavitha Narayan from Karnataka. Who rode an impressive 313 km. She is 65th overall.

      Third is Devmitra P from Kerala who rode 261 km.

      Leaderboard: Longest Ride

      Rides this week coming in from Tamil Nadu!

      Top spot goes to Sugandh Sathiamoorthi from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 628 km long ride!

      Next up is Saravanan Thangavel from Tamil Nadu having done a 627 km long ride.

      Third is Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu, who did a 623 km long ride.

      Leaderboard: Fastest

      The top 72 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

      Fastest of the lot is Unmesh Ahluwalia from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 37.5 kmph over the week! He was fastest last four weeks as well.

      Second fastest for the week is Tenzin Kunchok from Uttar Pradesh whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.5 kmph.

      Third is Renju from Kerala averaging 37 kmph over the week.

      Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

      The climbing leaderboard went to the Nilgiris! The top two swapped places…

      Climber of the week is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra having climbed 13898 metres.

      Second is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal who climbed 10963 metres.

      Third is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 9181 metres during the week. He was second last week.

        Week 222 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 1st September 2024.

        Club Stats. 3452 members collectively rode 98261 km in 2655 rides, climbing 522794 metres in 4553 hours!

        The number of members are up by 10 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

        7 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

        4 rode 600s. 31 rode at least a 200.

        66 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

        16 climbed more than 4000 metres.

        Incredible riding by everyone.

        There are 12 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

        Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 454 km. She is 27th overall.

        Next up is Kavitha Narayan from Karnataka. Who rode an impressive 269 km. She is 93rd overall. She was second last week as well.

        Third is Kamala R from Karnataka who rode 254 km.

        Rides this week coming in from Tamil Nadu!

        Top spot goes to Arun Kumarasamy from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 640 km long ride!

        Third is Sanjay Chobdar from Haryana averaging 35.9 kmph over the week.

        The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

        Climber of the week is Suriya Prakash from Tamil Nadu having climbed 9632 metres.

        Second is Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu who climbed 8266 metres.

        Third is Jitendra G from Karnataka, who climbed 7939 metres during the week.
