Giant and Liv have officially unveiled their latest flagship gravel racing platforms. The new Giant Revolt Advanced SL and Liv Devote Advanced SL focus purely on speed. These premium machines completely abandon the do-it-all adventure roots of their predecessors. Instead, they target elite racing performance.

Both brands utilize Giant Bicycle Group’s proprietary high-modulus carbon resin to construct these frames. Specifically, the engineering team relies on three advanced manufacturing systems. First, Carbon Nanotube Technology strengthens the microscopic bonds between fiber layers. This innovation improves overall impact resistance. Second, Continuous Fiber Technology applies long, unbroken sheets of carbon fabric. This method strips away dead weight and maximizes structural strength. Third, Precision Cold-Blade Cutting ensures a flawless, minimized layup with zero wasted material.
Furthermore, these structural optimizations yield massive weight savings. The Giant Revolt Advanced SL frame weighs a mere 839 grams. This represents a 151-gram reduction from the previous model. The total complete bike sheds 288 grams overall. Similarly, the Liv Devote Advanced SL frameset trims 185 grams compared to its predecessor. In total, the core racing setup cuts nearly 300 grams.

In addition to weight savings, both platforms feature highly revised geometry. Designers shifted toward a longer, lower profile. For example, a medium Revolt reduces its stack height by 29mm and extends its reach by 8mm. Giant also steepened the seat tube angle by 1 degree to 74.5 degrees. Moreover, the brand discarded the previous adjustable flip chip entirely.
Meanwhile, the Liv Devote adopts a similarly aggressive stance. To optimize the women’s-specific frameset, Liv utilized a unique wind tunnel mannequin named “Georgia.” This 3D-printed model mirrors the body dimensions of professional athlete Georgia Baker. Therefore, engineers gained highly accurate real-world aerodynamic data. Testing confirmed that the Devote saves an impressive 20.03 watts of total system resistance. The new Revolt yields an 18.99-watt advantage.
Surprisingly, both brands bucked industry trends by stretching the chainstays to 433mm. This extension provides essential vertical compliance. It also allows both bikes to clear massive 53mm tires while maintaining standard road bottom bracket spacing.
Premium Integrated Components
Additionally, both builds utilize a full suite of premium Cadex components. The bikes feature the new Contact SLR XR integrated handlebar. This one-piece carbon cockpit weighs just 295 grams. To maximize efficiency, the flagship builds pair with the new Cadex Max GXR wheelset. These hookless carbon wheels feature a 50mm deep profile and aero carbon spokes. They weigh just 1,280 grams per set. Furthermore, new Cadex GXR tyres reduce rolling resistance by 1.52 watts per tyre.
Regarding component compatibility, both frames now support the Universal Derailleur Hanger standard. This welcome update allows seamless integration with the latest drivetrains. Complete builds exclusively feature the electronic SRAM AXS XPLR family.
Pricing and Availability Delays
Pricing details are fully available for global regions. Framesets start at $5,000 USD (INR 4,70,000 approx.). Complete builds for both the Revolt and Devote start at $7,300 (INR 7,00,000 approx.) for the SL 2 models. Finally, the top-tier SL 0 models max out at $12,000 (INR 11,50,000 approx.).
Giant Bicycles India sells both Giant and Liv cycles in the country.
