Here are all the results from the 21st Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior National Mountain Bike Championships 2025. The championships were held in Morni, Panchkula, Haryana, between the 28th to 31st of March 2025.
Results for the races are in chronological order, in the sequence in which they were conducted.
Thanks to Arjun Rathore and Anirudh Chadha for helping us out with the results!
The course was pretty technical with short steep climbs and lot of loose dirt on the descents, making it a challenging ride for all the racers.
Karnataka was the most successful team who took a major medal haul at the National Mountain Bike Championships 2025.
Day 1: 28th March 2025
XCT (Cross Country Time Trial): Youth Girls
On the first day, the championships were kicked off by the XCT Youth Girls race.
Smrithii K from Tamil Nadu won the 2 lap TT by finishing in 20:55.786 minutes. Second placed Maiza Backer N C from Kerala finished about 48 seconds behind. Third place was Sunmitha N also from Tamil Nadu who finished a further 2 minutes behind.
XCT: Youth Boys
Kevin Lyngdoh Sangriang from Meghalaya won the 3-lap TT in 23:35.812 minutes. He was followed by Lijum Ete from Arunachal Pradesh a further 22 seconds adrift. The final spot on the podium was taken by Naren Adarsh G from Tamil Nadu who finished 47 seconds slower.
XCT: Sub Junior Girls
The Sub Junior Girls Time Trial was won by a massive margin by Nithila Das from Karnataka in 32:39.317 minutes. Silver was won by Sowbarnika S from Tamil Nadu who was 2 minutes and 57 seconds behind the winner. Third was taken by Kiana Baruah from Karnataka who finished 67 seconds slower.
XCT: Sub Junior Boys
Dhanush Prasanth from Karnataka rode hard in the TT to finish the 2 lap course in 24:40.364 minutes. He was followed on the podium by Ramani S from Tamil Nadu who was 66 seconds behind. The final spot on the podium was claimed by Rehaan Roshan from Karnataka who was 80 seconds down the road.
XCT: Women Junior
Pavitra Kurtakoti from Karnataka won the Women’s Junior TT by finishing the 2 lap course in 39:59.419 minutes. Avni Daryal from Uttarakhand finished in second spot 45 seconds slower. While Siddhi Shirke from Maharashtra took the final spot on the podium just 1.5 seconds slower.
XCT: Men Junior
Tsewang Norboo from Ladakh was fastest on the 2 lap course, with a time of 25:02.000 minutes. He was joined on the podium by Dhananjay S T from Karnataka who was 124 seconds behind. While bronze was won by Ayush Negi from Uttarakhand as he finished 35 seconds slower.
XCT: Women Elite
Star Narzary from Karnataka was fastest on the day over the 2 lap course finishing in 34:17.625 minutes. Pranita Soman from Maharashtra won silver as she lost out by 4 seconds. Third place was taken by Manali Ratnoji from Maharashtra as she was 5 minutes slower.
Day 2: 29th March 2025
XCT: Men Elite
Khushiman Gharti from the Indian Army was the fastest man of the day, as he finished the 3 lap course in 38:46.742 minutes. Khariksing Adonis Tangpu from Manipur finished second just 5 seconds slower. Third was claimed by Shiven from Haryana with a time which was 1 minute and 20 seconds slower.
XCR (Cross Country Relay): Junior
Team Karnataka won the relay race with each member having to ride 1 lap of the course. The cumulative time marked the winner. The southern state won with 01:15:32.044 hours. Maharashtra finished second 29 seconds behind the winners. Kerala took the final place on the podium.
XCR: Elite
The category changed but the result didn’t! Team Karnataka won the elite relay race as well. They finished with a time of 1:06:59.016 hours. Maharashtra was 24 seconds behind the winner. Uttarakhand rounded off the podium, but were 16 minutes slower.
XCO (Cross Country Olympic): Youth Girls
Smrithii K from Tamil Nadu took her second gold in the 2025 championships by the winning the race in 32:04.263 minutes. The rest of the podium was unchanged as well, with Maiza Backer N C from Kerala taking silver and Sunmitha N winning bronze.
XCO: Youth Boys
Kevin Lyngdoh Sangriang from Meghalaya took his second gold of the championships by finishing in 32:05.457 minutes. The remaining spots on the podium remained unchanged as well, with Lijum Ete from Arunachal Pradesh and Naren Adarsh G from Tamil Nadu cleaning up the medals. These 3 boys showing that they are a cut above the rest.
XCO: Sub Junior Girls
Nithila Das from Karnataka took her second gold of the championships in convincing fashion as she finished 2 minutes ahead with a time of 48:47.067 minutes. Sowbarnika S from Tamil Nadu also continued her impressive run with another silver medal. While her teammate Hashini K won bronze.
XCO: Sub Junior Boys
Dhanush Prasanth from Karnataka stamped his authority with a second gold, as he won by 12 seconds in 50:48.815 minutes. Ramani S from Tamil Nadu also continued his good form with another silver medal. Adhirath Singh Walia from Himachal Pradesh took the final place on the podium.
Day 3: 30th March 2025
XCO: Women Junior
Pavitra Kurtakoti from Karnataka took her second win of 2025, as she finished in 1:21:47.582 hours. Avni Daryal from Uttarakhand continued her good form to finish in second, 1 minute behind the winner. The final spot on the podium remained unchanged with Siddhi Shirke taking another bronze.
XCO: Men Junior
Tsewang Norboo from Ladakh continued his unbeaten run with another win, as he finished with a time of 1:06:47.649 hours. Ayush Negi from Uttarakhand improved by winning a silver as he finished 6 minutes behind. Yogesh Sonawane from Maharashtra crossed the finish line 60 seconds further behind.
XCO: Men Under-23
Charith Gowda from Karnataka took the win in convincing fashion as he finished the race in 1:24:20.014 hours. He was joined on the podium by Thotmachan Awungshil from Manipur who was 4 minutes behind. Jigmet Chosgyal from Ladakh took the final place on the podium another minute behind.
XCO: Women Elite
Star Narzary from Karnataka continued her unbeaten run as she finished the race in 1:50:26.269 hours. Pranita Soman from Maharashtra bagged her second silver medal as she finished 7 minutes behind. Sandhya Kumari Mourya from Madhya Pradesh took the final place on the podium by finishing another 7 minutes behind the silver medal.
XCO: Men Elite
Khariksing Adonis Tangpu from Manipur won the coveted gold medal in the XCO with a race finish time of 1:35:05.259 hours. Shiven from Haryana finished second as he was 2 and a half minutes behind the winner. Khundrakpam Ronel Singh from Manipur took the final place on the podium as he was another 2 minutes behind Shiven.
Khushiman Gharti who won the TT and was leading the XCO was disqualified for changing his bike during the race.

Downhill: Men Elite
Yawar Ali Khan from Jammu & Kashmir took the win by flying down the course in 3:46.840 minutes.
In second place is Meban Aiboklang Suiam from Meghalaya who was 2.5 seconds slower.
Bronze was won by Virendra Mali from Maharashtra who was just half a second slower than silver.
