              Week 73 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 24th October 2021.

              Club Stats. 1479 members collectively rode 86726 km in 2488 rides, climbing 428513 metres in 4047 hours!

              The number of members are up by 36 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

              To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 250 km during the week!

              There were 4 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

              5 rode 600s, 12 rode a 200 and 100 rode at least a century!

              46 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 5 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

              Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

              Leaderboard: Overall

              3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

              Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 775 km. He was second last week.

              In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 774 km in the week. Just one kilometre less than first place!

              Third spot is taken by Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh. He rode 746 km.

              The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 200+ km…

              Varsha Gaikwad from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 693 km. She is 5th overall. She is currently riding from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

              Next up is Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 605 km. She is 12th overall.

              Third is Damanpreet Kaur Romana from Punjab who rode 424 km. She is 19th overall. She was third last week two weeks as well.

              There are 8 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

              The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…

              Top spot goes to Zorawar Ghuman from West Bengal for the longest ride. He did a 605 km long ride!

              Next up is Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala having done a 605 km long ride. Same as 1st place.

              Third is Rahul Paul from West Bengal, who did a 604.9 km long ride.

              The top 46 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

              Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 40.4 kmph over the week! He was first last week.

              Second fastest for the week is Hemings from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.7 kmph. He was third last week.

              Third is Michael Joseph from Tamil Nadu averaging 37.1 kmph over the week.

                Week 72 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 17th October 2021.

                Club Stats. 1443 members collectively rode 83404 km in 22276 rides, climbing 414483 metres in 3901 hours!

                The number of members are up by 13 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all marginally up.

                To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 235 km during the week!

                There were 2 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

                4 rode 600s, 18 rode a 200 and 100 rode at least a century!

                37 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
