    Week 14 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 6th September 2020.

    Club Stats. 399 members collectively rode 42956 km in 1140 rides, climbing 239622 metres in 2033 hours!

    The number of members are up by 17 as compared to last week. The week saw more than a 1000 rides again and 2000+ hours of saddle time. All the stats were up marginally in comparison to last week. Good mileage by club members!

    Kudos to all these fantastic people…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab was once again top of the charts. He has been in the first couple of positions for the last 10 weeks! He rode 1385 km. Almost 200 km a day.

    In second place is once again Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu who rode 863 km in the week. Once again he impressively clocked this mileage at an average speed of  almost 30 kmph!

    Third spot is taken by Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar. He rode 610 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    Riya Khatkar from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding a commendable 256 km. She is 51st overall.

    Next up is Garima Takyar from Haryana. Who not only rode 210 km, but also did it at am amazing pace. She is 71st overall.

    Third is Kavitha Narayan from Karnataka, who rode 202 km. Making sure that all three top women were riding 200+ km. Incredible performances. She is 78th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, up by 5 in comparison to last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    This section of the leaderboard is the only one which sees a major shakeup every week. With the other’s more or less set in stone!

    Top spot goes to Kapil Sharma from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a mind boggling  508.5 km long ride!

    Next up is Raikom Enghi from Assam having done a mammoth 321.8 km ride.

    Third is Manmohan Singh from Punjab, who did a 226.6 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 3 have been riding at some impressive pace…

    Fastest of the lot is the super cool, Garima Takyar from Haryana who averaged an incredible 33.3 kmph over the week! That is FAST considering she rode 210 km.

    Second fastest for the week is Mayur Bathija from Karnataka whose weekly average is an incredible 31.7 kmph. Solid pace considering he has done some decent amount of climbing as well. Last week he was third, he has improved by one position.

    Third is Manav Chandwani from Gujarat averaging 31.4 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Tamil Nadu once again takes the top spot in the climbing category this week.

    Climber of the week is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu having climbed 7375 metres. He took the KOM last week as well.

    *In this category, only rides recorded on devices with barometers are eligible. Phone Strava is known to give wildly inaccurate altitude gain readings and therefore are not taken into account!
