    Week 23 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 8th November 2020.

    Club Stats. 557 members collectively rode 56228 km in 1361 rides, climbing 292939 metres in 2676 hours!

    The number of members are up by 24 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride the same, with number of rides, total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle almost the same as last week. This is the third time that the club crossed 50000 km in a week!

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 197 km during the week!

    There were two riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week. 70 riders who rode at least a century. 5 who averaged above 30 kmph for the week. Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    After a long time, this leaderboard has seen a shakeup in proceedings. The top 2 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy! The top two swapped places last week.

    Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1387 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra who rode 1051 km in the week. He was top of the charts last week.

    Third spot is taken by Srinath Kareti from Tamil Nadu. He rode 989 km. His first on the podium spots for the week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard is getting more competitive every week.

    Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an massive 554 km. She is 16th overall and was 1st last week as well.

    Next up is Simmy Pardal from Uttarakhand. Who rode an impressive 377 km. She is 31st overall. She was 2nd last week as well.

    Third is Samridhi Jaiswal from Uttar Pradesh who rode 263 km. She is 66th overall.

    There are 8 women in the top 100 this week, 3 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 200+ km rides. Phew!

    Top spot goes to Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 650 km long ride! He was top last week as well.

    Next up is Rohit Ganju from Haryana having done a 424 km long ride.

    Third is Manmohan Singh from Punjab, who did a 409 km long ride. He was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 3 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace while clocking incredible mileage. The top 3 all riding at 38+ kmph

    Fastest of the lot is Satvik Gupta from Haryana who averaged an incredible 38.7 kmph over the week! That is FAST.

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is an incredible 38.6 kmph. He has been fastest the last couple of weeks.

    Third is Aditya Malhotra from Delhi averaging 38.4 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Tamil Nadu has been dethroned in the climbing category this week by the Himalayas!

    Climber of the week is Anil Gurung from Uttarakhand having climbed 9446 metres. That is an incredible amount of climbing.

    Second is Kapil Sharma from Maharashtra who climbed 9010 metres. He was attempting everesting in Pune.

    Third is Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra, who climbed 8002 metres during the week.
