    Week 27 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 6th December 2020.

    Club Stats. 631 members collectively rode 62517 km in 1472 rides, climbing 297503 metres in 2868 hours!

    The number of members are up by 19 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride significantly more, with number of rides, total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle is up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 210 km during the week!

    There were 5 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 10 who rode more than 100 a day!

    7 people did 300+ km rides. 21 people did at least 200 km rides. 68 riders rode at least a century!

    3 who averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 7 who climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    The top 5 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy!

    Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 1623 km. He was first last two weeks as well.

    In second place is Nikhil Pyary from Kerala who rode 1377 km in the week. He is a new entrant to the leaderboard.

    Third spot is taken by Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh. He rode 1297 km. Also a new entrant in the top 3.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard is getting more competitive every week.

    Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding a massive 420 km. She is 31st overall.

    Next up is Samridhi Jaiswal from Uttar Pradesh. Who rode an impressive 329 km. She is 47th overall.

    Third is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra who rode 328 km. She is 48th overall.

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 200+ km rides!

    Top spot goes to Ranbir Singh Bagga from Telangana for the longest ride. He did a 406 km long ride! He was second last week.

    Next up is Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab having done a 352 km long ride.

    Third is Avinash Singh Sadana from Gujarat, who did a 345 km long ride. He is a new entrant to the top 3.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 3 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 36.1 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is an incredible 32.9 kmph. He was second last week as well.

    Third is Himanshu from Haryana averaging 31.4 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Karnataka swept the top spots this week.

    Climber of the week is Neel Shivakumar from Karnataka having climbed 6475 metres.

    Second is Siddhant Bs from Karnataka who climbed 5629 metres.

    Third is Samay Subramanya from Karnataka, who climbed 5565 metres during the week.
