    Week 28 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 13th December 2020.

    Club Stats. 648 members collectively rode 58340 km in 1528 rides, climbing 291340 metres in 2708 hours!

    The number of members are up by 17 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more as per number of rides. But total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 197 km during the week!

    There were 5 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 8 who rode more than 100 a day!

    12 people did 300+ km rides. 21 people did at least 200 km rides. 56 riders rode at least a century!

    9 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 6 who climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    The top 5 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy!

    Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 1929 km. He was first last three weeks as well.

    In second place is Srinath Kareti from Tamil Nadu who rode 1512 km in the week. Impressive numbers, averaging more than 200 km a day!

    Third spot is taken by Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra. He rode 1370 km, almost 200 km a day.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard is getting more competitive every week.

    Tara Jayaraman from Karnataka was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 270 km. She is 65th overall.

    Next up is Priyanka Mehta from Uttarakhand. Who rode an impressive 222 km. She is 86th overall.

    Third is Hitisha Mehta from Maharashtra who rode 214 km. She is 88th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 300+ km rides! A couple of new names at the top this week.

    Top spot goes to Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh for the longest ride. He did a 414 km long ride!

    Next up is Gopinath Sukumar from Tamil Nadu having done a 315 km long ride.

    Third is Seetha Raman from Tamil Nadu, who did a 308 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 3 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 37.7 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Anuj Kalmane from Poland whose weekly average is an incredible 33.4 kmph.

    Third is Anirudh Rangarajan from Maharashtra averaging 32.1 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Riding in the Himalayas helped seal the top spots this week!

    Climber of the week is Aman Sharma from Delhi having climbed 6262 metres.

    Second is Mohit Ubhan from Uttarakhand who climbed 5849 metres.

    Third is Kunal Khairnar from Maharashtra, who climbed 5759 metres during the week.
