    Week 31 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 3rd January 2021.

    Club Stats. 689 members collectively rode 56209 km in 1354 rides, climbing 281300 metres in 2638 hours!

    The number of members are up by 12 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride LESS with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 203 km during the week!

    There were 3 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 4 who rode more than 100 a day!

    4 people did 300+ km rides. 15 people did at least 200 km rides. 69 riders rode at least a century!

    6 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 8 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    The top 3 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy! The top 3 remained unchanged but got reshuffled.

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 1840 km. He was third last week.

    In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 1813 km in the week. Impressive numbers! He was top of the charts for the last 6 weeks and finally relinquished first place.

    Third spot is taken by Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh. He rode 1261 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard was extremely lacklustre this week. With a clean sweep by Maharashtra!

    Hitisha Mehta from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 325 km. She is 40th overall and was first last week as well.

    Next up is Vidhi Bhanushali from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 249 km. She is 76th overall.

    Third is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra who rode 232 km. She is 85th overall.

    There are 3 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 200+ km rides! A couple of new names at the top this week.

    Top spot goes to Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar for the longest ride. He did a 401 km long ride!

    Next up is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra having done a 400.5 km long ride. He was 3rd last week.

    Third is Saravanavelu R from Puducherry, who did a 324 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 6 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Aditya Malhotra from Delhi who averaged an incredible 35.1 kmph over the week! He was top man last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is an incredible 32.8 kmph. He was second last week as well.

    Third is Nilay Mudhale from Maharashtra averaging 32.4 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Riding around the country helps take KOM this week!

    Climber of the week is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh having climbed 6463 metres. He is currently on a ride around India along the Golden Quadrilateral. Climbing through the Western Ghats helped secure KOM.

    Second is M Nihal from Kerala who climbed 6188 metres.

    Third is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra, who climbed 5665 metres during the week.
