Week 42 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 21st March 2021.
Club Stats. 835 members collectively rode 57334 km in 1666 rides, climbing 311301 metres in 2699 hours!
The number of members are up by 10 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 203 km during the week!
There were 2 who rode more than 100 a day!
3 did 300+ km ride. 13 people did at least 200 km rides. 50 riders rode at least a century!
8 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 5 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
This leaderboard sees Nishant back at the top!
Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 980 km. He was third last week.
In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 718 km in the week. He was top rider for the last couple of weeks.
Third spot is taken by DNA from Delhi. He rode 684 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard was back to being super competitive.
Rajlaxmi Teli from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding a crazy 358 km. She is 29th overall. She was first last three weeks as well and consistent clocking the same mileage every week.
Next up is Neha Tikam from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 236 km. She is 76th overall.
Third is Simran Agarwal from Rajasthan who rode 229 km. She is 79th overall.
There are 6 women in the top 100 this week, 3 more than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
The top 10 all did 200+ km rides!
Top spot goes to Rohith SM from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 346 km long ride!
Next up is Anurag Singh from Madhya Pradesh having done a 303 km long ride.
Third is Anurag from Maharashtra, who did a 300 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 8 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace. The top 2 have switched places from last week.
Fastest of the lot is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 36.3 kmph over the week! He was second fastest last week.
Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is an incredible 35.3 kmph. He was fastest last week.
Third is Anuj Kalmane from Poland averaging 33.4 kmph over the week.

Climber of the week is Limbu Ashok from Uttarakhand having climbed 7265 metres. He was second last week.
Second is Gaurav Negi from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 7149 metres. He was third last week.
Third is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra, who climbed 5070 metres during the week.
