      Week 41 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 14th March 2021.

      Club Stats. 825 members collectively rode 62784 km in 1701 rides, climbing 342918 metres in 2923 hours!

      The number of members are up by 16 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride significantly more with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

      To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 227 km during the week!

      There were 6 who rode more than 100 a day!

      6 did 400+ km ride. 13 people did at least 200 km rides. 63 riders rode at least a century!

      9 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 8 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

      Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

      This leaderboard sees Rakesh back at the top!

      Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 907 km. He is top guy for a second week in a row!

      In second place is Mathi Mathiyalagan from Tamil Nadu who rode 858 km in the week. He is a new name on the leaderboard.

        The number of members are up by 10 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.

        To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 203 km during the week!

        There were 2 who rode more than 100 a day!

        3 did 300+ km ride. 13 people did at least 200 km rides. 50 riders rode at least a century!

                      Priyanka Mehta from Uttarakhand was top of the charts this week. Riding 268 km. She is 42nd overall. She does most of her riding in the mountains and was second last week.

                      Next up is Hitisha Mehta from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 252 km. She is 48th overall.

                      Third is Gini Desai from Gujarat who rode 227 km. She is 62nd overall. She is a new entrant to the club.

                      The summer heat and lockdowns ensured that no one did long rides this week!

                      Top spot goes to Eshanth Raj from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 150 km long ride!

                      Next up is Prince Patel from USA having done a 138 km long ride.

                      Third is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra, who did a 132 km long ride.

                      The top 22 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

                      Fastest of the lot is Hitesh Kumar from Karnataka who averaged an incredible 35.7 kmph over the week!

                      Second fastest for the week is Ashish Singh from Uttar Pradesh whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.2 kmph. He was second fastest last week as well.

                      Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 35.2 kmph over the week. He was third fastest last week as well.

                      Climber of the week is Gaurav Negi from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 8077 metres.

                        Week 50 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 16th May 2021.

                        Club Stats. 980 members collectively rode 47586 km in 1489 rides, climbing 267529 metres in 2353 hours!

                        The number of members are up by 23 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same, with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all unchanged. Excepted, considering the lockdown and pandemic raging across the country.

                        To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 174 km during the week!

                        There were 4 who rode more than 100 a day!

                        28 riders rode at least a century!

                        25 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 4 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

                        Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

                        This leaderboard sees Sukhwinder Singh regain the top place after being away for a week. The top 2 switched places.

                        Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1429 km. He was second last week.

                        In second place is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra who rode 1107 km in the week. He was first last week.

                        Third spot is taken by Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab. He rode 805 km. He is back at the front after a long time.
