    Week 45 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 11th April 2021.

    Club Stats. 878 members collectively rode 60488 km in 1684 rides, climbing 353819 metres in 2834 hours!

    The number of members are up by 18 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all unchanged.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 210 km during the week!

    There were 5 who rode more than 100 a day!

    2 did a 400+ km ride. 7 who rode at least a double century. 48 riders rode at least a century!

    12 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 7 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Sukhwinder Singh back at the top after many months. The top 2 swapped places.

    Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1139 km. He was second last couple of weeks.

    In second place is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra who rode 1058 km in the week. He was first last 3 weeks.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 925 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard lacked depth in the field.

    Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding 443 km. She is 14th overall. She is back at the top after a brief hiatus.

    Next up is Rajlaxmi Teli from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 371 km. She is 27th overall. She has been riding consistently week after week.

    Third is Simran Agarwal from Rajasthan who rode 318 km. She is 41st overall. She was third last week as well.

    There are 4 women in the top 100 this week, same as last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The summer heat ensured that no one did long rides this week! Except top man, who was riding in Spiti…

    Top spot goes to Danish Nayyar from Punjab for the longest ride. He did a 576 km long ride! He was touring through Spiti in winter.

    Next up is Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala having done a 401 km long ride. She was riding a brevet in Kerala.

    Third is Goutham Y from Karnataka, who did a 225 km long ride. Also a brevet.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 12 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 34 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Prince Patel from USA whose weekly average is an incredible 32.6 kmph. He has been racing hard in the states.

    Third is Om Mahajan from USA averaging 31.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    The Himalayas help seal the KOM and then some more! Top spots being secured by HP, directly or indirectly…

    Climber of the week is Danish Nayyar from Punjab having climbed an eyewatering 13248 metres. He has been touring in Spiti.

    Second is Pranshul Sharma from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 6695 metres.

    Third is Siddharth Horee from Karnataka, who climbed 6165 metres during the week.
