    Week 51 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 23rd May 2021.

    Club Stats. 993 members collectively rode 50140 km in 1550 rides, climbing 293131 metres in 2327 hours!

    The number of members are up by 13 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more, with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 181 km during the week!

    There were 4 who rode more than 100 a day!

    2 rode a double century. 32 riders rode at least a century!

    25 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 8 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Nishant Gupta regain the top place after being away for a week. The top 2 switched places.

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1506 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab who rode 942 km in the week. He was first last week.

    Third spot is taken by Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab. He rode 771 km. He was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard dominated by the state of Maharashtra…

    Rajlaxmi Teli from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding 335 km. She is 27th overall.

    Next up is Roopali Beri from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 257 km. She is 52nd overall.

    Third is Pra A from Maharashtra who rode 255 km. She is 54th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, same as last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The summer heat and lockdowns ensured that no one did long rides this week!

    Top spot goes to Shivraj T from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 227 km long ride!

    Next up is Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra having done a 201 km long ride.

    Third is Manav Chandwani from Gujarat, who did a 188 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 25 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Prince Patel from USA who averaged an incredible 37.4 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.1 kmph.

    Third is Samay D from USA averaging 36 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Himachal Pradesh dominated proceedings.

    Climber of the week is Gaurav Negi from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 10432 metres.

    Second is Karan Kumar from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 7203 metres.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 6837 metres during the week. He was first last week.
