    Week 67 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 12th September 2021.

    Club Stats. 1347 members collectively rode 92179 km in 2154 rides, climbing 476047 metres in 4341 hours!

    The number of members are up by 16 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all marginally up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 281 km during the week!

    There were 5 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    1 rode a 600, 1 rode a 400 and 100 rode at least a double century!

    26 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Fat Biker Vaibhav from Delhi was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1410  km.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 770 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Ishann Pandey from Delhi. He rode 744 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 250+ km…

    Meghna Ghatge from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 574 km. She is 9th overall.

    Next up is Smital Patel from Gujarat. Who rode an impressive 322 km. She is 75th overall.

    Third is Gareema Shankar from Delhi who rode 310 km. She is 80th overall.

    There are 4 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back… With the country celebrating 100 years of randonneuring!

    Top spot goes to Kapil Sharma from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 601 km long ride!

    Next up is DNA from Delhi having done a 439 km long ride.

    Third is Ishann Pandey from Delhi, who did a 276 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 26 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Jateen Joshi from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 35.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Sanjeev Ramki from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 35 kmph.

    Third is Michael Joseph from Tamil Nadu averaging 33.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    Himachal Pradesh took top honours this week, again!

    Climber of the week is Sandeep Thapa from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 9200 metres. He was KOM last week as well.

    Second is Kapil Sharma from Maharashtra who climbed 8993 metres. He was racing the Himalayan Ultra in Ladakh.

    Third is Vibhav Shinde from Maharashtra, who climbed 7531 metres during the week. He was also racing the Himalayan Ultra in Ladakh.
