    Week 68 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 19th September 2021.

    Club Stats. 1366 members collectively rode 77942 km in 2255 rides, climbing 444104 metres in 3719 hours!

    The number of members are up by 19 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all marginally down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 223 km during the week!

    There were 4 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    4 rode 600s, 13 rode a 400 and 96 rode at least a century!

    31 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 13 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Nithin Kumar from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 763 km.

    In second place is Moideenkutty VC from Kerala who rode 761 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 742 km. He was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 150+ km…

    Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 526 km. She is 14th overall.

    Next up is Tanvi Tarare from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 309 km. She is 55th overall.

    Third is Simy Thomas from Kerala who rode 272 km. She is 73rd overall.

    There are 3 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…

    Top spot goes to Anantha Krishnan from Kerala for the longest ride. He did a 614 km long ride!

    Next up is Nithin Kumar from Kerala having done a 611 km long ride.

    Third is Shain from Kerala, who did a 605 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 32 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Harsimran Singh from Karnataka who averaged an incredible 34.8 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Divyam Patel from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 32.8 kmph.

    Third is Prince Patel from USA averaging 32.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    Kerala edged out Himachal Pradesh this week!

    Climber of the week is Nithin Kumar from Kerala having climbed 8684 metres.

    Second is Mikamzii from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 8115 metres.

    Third is Cyrus Mohan from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 7626 metres during the week.
