    Week 75 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 7th November 2021.

    Club Stats. 1517 members collectively rode 84087 km in 2155 rides, climbing 435246 metres in 3876 hours!

    The number of members are up by 21 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down slightly.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 245 km during the week!

    There were 3 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    1 rode a 600, 44 rode a 200 and 100 rode at least a century!

    42 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 6 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Abhishek Fale from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1212 km.

    In second place is Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab who rode 1001 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Maharashtra. He rode 777 km. He was first last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 218+ km…

    Varsha Gaikwad from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 687 km. She is 5th overall. She is currently riding from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and was top lady last two weeks as well.

    Next up is Sanjana Sudhir from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 418 km. She is 17th overall.

    Third is Tanvi Tarare from Maharashtra who rode 389 km. She is 22nd overall.

    There are 8 women in the top 100 this week, 3 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…

    Top spot goes to Abhishek Fale from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 600 km long ride!

    Next up is Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab having done a 393 km long ride.

    Third is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu, who did a 301 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 42 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace. The top 2 switched places.

    Fastest of the lot is Ravishankar Natesan from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 40.5 kmph over the week! He was second last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.5 kmph. He was fastest last two weeks.

    Third is Aditya Srikar from Tamil Nadu averaging 34.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    Maharashtra usurped the crown from the Himalayas this week. Again!

    Climber of the week is PT India from Maharashtra having climbed 8210 metres.

    Second is Abhishek Fale from Maharashtra who climbed 7673 metres.

    Third is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra, who climbed 4621 metres during the week.
