    Week 76 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 14th November 2021.

    Club Stats. 1530 members collectively rode 79897 km in 2188 rides, climbing 412614 metres in 3734 hours!

    The number of members are up by 13 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down slightly.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 233 km during the week!

    There were 6 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    1 rode a 600, 17 rode at least a century and 37 rode a 200.

    44 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1431 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 891 km in the week. He was second last week.

    Third spot is taken by Varun Kamath from Karnataka. He rode 873 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 209+ km…

    Varsha Gaikwad from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 805 km. She is 3rd overall. She is currently riding from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and was top lady last three weeks as well.

    Next up is Purvi Chauhan from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 336 km. She is 45th overall.

    Third is Swati Sablok from Punjab who rode 304 km. She is 61st overall.

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…

    Top spot goes to Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab for the longest ride. He did a 605 km long ride! He was second last week.

    Next up is Saurabh Dalvi from Maharashtra having done a 404 km long ride.

    Third is Anshuman Pati from Odisha, who did a 402 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 44 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 40.4 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 39.9 kmph. He was second fastest last week as well.

    Third is Ravishankar Natesan from Tamil Nadu averaging 37.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    Virtual climbing helped seal the KOM deal this week.

    Climber of the week is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh having climbed 12935 metres.

    Second is Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab who climbed 10437 metres.

    Third is Varsha Gaikwad from Maharashtra, who climbed 5321 metres during the week.
