    Week 78 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 28th November 2021.

    Club Stats. 1554 members collectively rode 92355 km in 2492 rides, climbing 469018 metres in 4342 hours!

    The number of members are up by 11 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up significantly.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 254 km during the week!

    There were 8 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    6 rode a 600, 17 rode at least a triple century and 39 rode a 200.

    58 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 14 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Purvi Chauhan from Telangana was top of the charts. She rode an incredible 1426 km. She is riding Kashmir to Kanyakumari. She was first last week as well.

    In second place is Jayant Juneja from Telangana who rode 1255 km in the week. He is also riding K2K with Purvi. He was second last week as well.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 1058 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 155+ km…

    Purvi Chauhan from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 1426 km. She is 1st overall. She is currently riding from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and was first last week.

    Next up is Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 372 km. She is 45th overall.

    Third is Vidhya Hari from Karnataka who rode 306 km. She is 64th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 8 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week!

    Top spot goes to Pro Prathamm from Delhi for the longest ride. He did a 614 km long ride!

    Next up is Rahul Paul from West Bengal having done a 610 km long ride.

    Third is Sourav Chakraborty from West Bengal, who did a 605 km long ride. He was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 58 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace. The top 3 have been racing at the Indian National Road Championships.

    Fastest of the lot is Synclair D’souza from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 40 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Pratik Patil from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.3 kmph.

    Third is Joel Sundarram from Tamil Nadu averaging 37.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard saw a bunch of surprises!

    Climber of the week is Purvi Chauhan from Telangana having climbed 6319 metres.

    Second is Mohammed Ashraf from Kerala who climbed 6038 metres.

    Third is Jayant Juneja from Telangana, who climbed 5684 metres during the week.
