    Week 116 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 21st August 2022.

    Club Stats. 2350 members collectively rode 118944 km in 3074 rides, climbing 613874 metres in 5587 hours!

    The number of members are up by 21 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 271 km during the week!

    There were 7 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    3 rode 600s, 3 rode 300s, 21 rode at least a 200.

    46 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 14 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 926 km.

    In second place is Bhavesh Tayal from Telangana who rode 850 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Mohit Agarwal from Telangana. He rode 1133 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 235+ km…

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 446 km. She is 22nd overall.

    Next up is Malika Kalra from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 435 km. She is 24th overall.

    Third is Hema Dhakad from Madhya Pradesh who rode 413 km. She is 28th overall.

    There are 14 women in the top 100 this week, 7 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Top spot goes to Abhimanyu from Telangana for the longest ride. He did a 658 km long ride!

    Next up is Mohit Agarwal from Telangana having done a 607 km long ride.

    Third is Bhavesh Tayal from Telangana, who did a 606 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 46 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu  who averaged an incredible 38.8 kmph over the week! He was second last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Garima Takyar from USA whose weekly average is a fantastic 34.6 kmph.

    Third is Synclair D’Souza from Maharashtra averaging 34.2 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats of Kerala!

    Climber of the week is Aby Kurian from Kerala having climbed 6045 metres.

    Second is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal who climbed 5944 metres.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 5827 metres during the week.
