Week 117 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 28th August 2022.
Club Stats. 2372 members collectively rode 105117 km in 2972 rides, climbing 540466 metres in 4882 hours!
The number of members are up by 22 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 261 km during the week!
There were 6 who averaged more than 100 km a day!
7 rode 600s, 3 rode 400s, 4 rode 300s, 33 rode at least a 200.
57 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 13 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
6 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.
Jein Varghese from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 805 km.
In second place is Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh who rode 794 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Ram Annamalai from Tamil Nadu. He rode 768 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 181+ km…
Sreeja from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 652 km. She is 9th overall.
Next up is Swati Sablok from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 412 km. She is 29th overall.
Third is Misha Brar from Chandigarh who rode 411.8 km. She is 30th overall.
There are 17 women in the top 100 this week, 3 more than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
Top spot goes to Abhilash Dhankar from Haryana for the longest ride. He did a 620 km long ride!
Next up is Arun Kumar Elangovan from Tamil Nadu having done a 613 km long ride.
Third is Sreeja from Tamil Nadu, who did a 611 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 57 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 38.8 kmph over the week!
Second fastest for the week is Shruti Marathe from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.2 kmph.
Third is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu averaging 37 kmph over the week. He was first last week.

Climber of the week is Rahul Paul from West Bengal having climbed 9616 metres.
Second is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh who climbed 7579 metres.
