    Week 227 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 6th October 2024.
    Club Stats. 3496 members collectively rode 142662 km in 3544 rides, climbing 767672 metres in 6582 hours!

    The number of members are up by 6 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    30 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    4 rode 1500s. 45 rode at least a 200.

    76 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    35 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    30 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Sharu Hakkim from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1802 km.

    In second place is Sanjaykanth N from Karnataka who rode 1570 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Ganesh R from Karnataka. He rode 1528 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has got tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 233+ km…

    There are 8 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.

    Lorraine D’costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 1504 km. She is 7th overall.

    Next up is Anumitha S from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 1321 km. She is 8th overall.

    Third is Vandana Dhavate from Telangana who rode 1220 km. She is 11th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from Karnataka!
    Top spot goes to Ganesh R from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 1528 km long ride!
    Next up is Arun Kumarasamy from Tamil Nadu having done a 1525 km long ride.
    Third is A Chandrababu from Andhra Pradesh, who did a 1514 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 76 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
    Fastest of the lot is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 39.5 kmph over the week! He was second last week.
    Second fastest for the week is Reneav from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.8 kmph.
    Third is KPS Oberoi from Delhi averaging 37.4 kmph over the week. He was third last three weeks as well.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Sanjaykanth N from Karnataka having climbed 18832 metres.

    Second is Ganesh R from Karnataka who climbed 18455 metres.

    Third is A Chandrababu from Andhra Pradesh, who climbed 18389 metres during the week.
